Here at Easy Alerts, we are determined to improve the speed at which people are notified of health risks around them. In just a couple of seconds, up to millions of people can be contacted and informed.
Why We Created Easy Alerts
In 1993, one of Milwaukee’s two water treatment plants became contaminated with crypto, a parasite that causes the cryptosporidiosis infection. Studies showed 403,000 people became ill and 69 people died. When the contamination was discovered, the city had to make phone calls or send emails to residents of the entire city to alert them. That took a week.
Imagine if this were to happen in 2021. Everyone would download our “Easy Alert” app on their phone. Within 5 minutes after the first case is discovered, “Easy Alert” would send an alert to people with all sorts of information. For example, type of outbreak, location, symptoms and how to keep yourself safe. This easy tool can spread the word fast and efficiently, saving lives and protecting public health.
